Further details on eligibility requirements can be found at www.bermudascholarships.com
In keeping with the Foundation’s focus on equity and access, all scholarship applicants must now demonstrate financial need by completing the family Statement of Means form. Financial need is based on a family’s ability to pay for post-secondary education and the Foundation is guided by statistical data on household incomes in Bermuda. Evidence of strong academics and potential for success are also key requirements for eligibility. Please also note that there are now two Sir Henry Tucker Scholarships, each for $30,000 per annum for four years. The Donald P. Lines Scholarship and two Chairman’s Awards are now $20,000 for one year, for students entering the third or fourth year of post-secondary education.

History / Background
The Bank of Bermuda Limited began offering scholarships to Bermudian students in the mid-1970’s. The scholarships were traditionally named in honour of those who held positions of leadership within the Bank, and were directed to students based on academic accomplishments, as well as involvement in extra-curricular activities. Centennial Foundation assumed responsibility for administering the scholarship programme in 2000. Over the years, the Foundation has created new scholarships, many with a requirement that students demonstrate financial need in addition to strong academic credentials.
