Become a Centennial Success coach

Centennial Bermuda Foundation has been offering Bermudian students scholarships for over 50 years, funding up to $900,000 in scholarships annually. We are currently in the process of developing our mentorship programme to provide leadership and guidance to our first-year Scholarship recipients over the course of their academic school year.

Effective January 1, 2023, our Registered Office address has changed and is now c/o Conyers Corporate Services (Bermuda) Limited of Clarendon House, 2 Church Street, Hamilton, HM 11, Bermuda (“Conyers”). However, only legal or official documents should be mailed to this address.

Grant offering update

In 2023 there is a change to Centennial’s grant offerings for requests of under $25,000. The Under $25K grant applications will move from once per month to four times per year, effective January 2023. The application dates for grants under $25,000 are now:

January 15th, 2023
April 15th, 2023
August 15, 2023
November 15, 2023

Terré Smith joins Centennial as Programme & Operations Coordinator

Centennial Bermuda Foundation welcomes Terré Smith to the newly created Programme & Operations Coordinator role, bringing their staff to a team of three. Terré will support the day-to-day operations of Centennial and its Grant Review Committees, Board of Directors and Board Sub-Committees.

Centennial welcomes alumni to its Scholarship Committee

Centennial Bermuda Foundation, (Centennial) is pleased to welcome three previous scholarship recipients to its Scholarship Committee, which reviews applications and recommends awards each year.

Shannon Davis, Harry Masters and Michael Branco have joined the committee which grants funds to Bermudian students for post-secondary education. Their appointment follows Centennial’s public advertisement for its scholarship alumni to apply for the positions. They believe in the importance of creating equitable opportunities and inspiring young Bermudians to have and achieve educational goals. They will also be part of Centennial’s upcoming strategic review of its scholarship programme.

STAKEHOLDER SURVEY

Third Sector stakeholders were encouraged to complete an online survey to be part of shaping the outcomes of this important research. The survey gathered stakeholder perspectives about what Bermuda’s charities and non-profits need and want, to be even more impactful in the community.

We’re pleased to announce our new name – Centennial Bermuda Foundation

Effective immediately the organisation has changed its name to Centennial Bermuda Foundation (Centennial), accompanied by a new logo.  You can read the full announcement here.



AN OPEN CALL FOR NEW REVIEW COMMITTEE MEMBERS (Now closed)

The Foundation is looking for individuals who represent a diverse cross section of individuals, whether it be through age, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, physical ability or varying socio-economic backgrounds. The Foundation recognises that diverse perspectives will serve to enrich its decision making in support of the whole community.

For further details on the expertise we are seeking, including an outline of the terms of reference for Review Committee members please see the attached documents below. When applying please determine which Review Committee best fits with your expertise and experience: Education, Healthy Families, Economic Participation or Connected Communities.
